In order to help our patients achieve the best possible results, it is often necessary to scan the face, mouth, and jaw in order to thoroughly evaluate the bone structure and positioning of the teeth. This enables us to fully tailor our approach to your unique makeup, allowing for more effective dental implant, surgical and sometimes orthodontic treatments.

At Define Clinic, we utilise the capabilities of Cone Beam CT for high resolution, volumetric images. Cone Beam CT produces three-dimensional views of bone structure and tooth orientation, providing accurate scans on par with medical CT scanning. We use the KaVo 3D-Pro scanner which differs from medical CT scanners in that it is specifically designed for dental use, providing the lowest radiation dose of any scanner on available on the market, emitting just 10% of what hospital dental CT scanners do. In addition, our CT scans is puts our patients comfort first and take less than 20 seconds to complete, leaving the entire process relatively hassle free.

We often use CT scanning as part of our consultation and analysis services prior to undergoing complex treatments. By incorporation CT scanning into the consultation period, our expert cosmetic dentistry team can gain more of an insight into your dental concerns than examining alone. We can also utilise your CT scan in our digital blueprint of your smile, allowing you to see what results you can expect before committing to any treatment.
