Where It Started For Dr Alfonso Rao
His journey into dentistry began at the prestigious Chieti University in Italy. Coming from a long line of dentists and clinicians, Dr Alfonso Rao graduated with distinction at the age of 23, making him the youngest in his year group. His early career saw him working as an oral surgeon in Caserta, Napoli and Pescara, where he honed his skills and built a solid foundation in dental surgery.
In 2009, Dr Rao moved to the UK, initially practising in Lincoln, Bath, Cheltenham and Bristol. His dedication and passion for dentistry led him to open his first clinics in Bristol, establishing himself as a trusted name in the local dental community. Dr Rao also co-founded Bristol’s Delta Dental Training Academy, a leading centre for training in oral surgery, implantology, and cosmetic dentistry.

Alfonso has continued training extensively since graduation. Most notably, he gained a three-year diploma in implant dentistry at the Eastman Dental Institute of London and also completed training with the Global Institute for Dental Education in Los Angeles (2014).
Alfonso mainly focuses on his twin passions: implant dentistry and Invisalign treatment.

As always a 5* visit to Define dental. The clinic is clean and state of the art. I’ve just had composite fillings created to address worn away gums. The results are stunning! Subtle yet transformational. Dr Shebri and Nurse Faye looked after me so well and thoroughly addressed any questions I had to make me feel comfortable and at ease! The work is truly a piece of art and I am thrilled with the result.

I had the pleasure of visiting Dr Benji Dhillon this week at his stunning premises for some much needed lower face rejuvenation. I felt that during consultation, Benji knew exactly what I was aiming for; which was to feel and look better, but still natural and without being obvious. He has a wonderful manner, friendly and putting me at ease and the procedure was less daunting and painful than I thought. I was also impressed with how he talked me through the procedure, which I found very interesting! I am utterly thrilled with the results, and feel I look like ‘the old me.’ but in a very subtle way. I will go back to Benji in the future without a doubt and already planning my next visit.
