Define Clinic

Providing an all encompassing face and smile treatment service for our patients

Dermal Fillers is the term used to encompass a wide range of injectable treatments that add volume and hydration to the skin, and can be used for a multitude of reasons. At Define Clinic, our dermal filler treatments promise to subtly lift, rejuvenate and moisturise the skin to help you look the best version of yourself.

Under our facial skin, there are a number of important pockets of fat. In our youth, these pockets are full of volume and help to ‘hold up’ the face. However, as we age we produce less collagen and fat which leads to these pockets ‘deflating’. This leads to sagging, hollowing and the formation of folds. Dermal fillers are a popular non-surgical procedure to subtly add a little volume to these pockets and help ‘lift’ up the face in a natural, understated way to rejuvenate and refresh.

At Define Clinic we use dermal fillers to help treat features that have developed over time that lead to us looking tired, saggy, angry or sad all of which never truly reflect who we are or how we feel.

We’re committed to providing our patients with only the highest quality treatments, using state of the art products. As such, we use only the highest grade dermal fillers, made from biocompatible, biodegradable materials and containing Hyaluronic Acid. Hyaluronic Acid, or ‘HA’, is a substance that occurs naturally in the body, and our team at Define Clinic – led by Dr Benji Dhillon – utilise dermal fillers to replace HA in areas where it has been lost due to the effects of ageing to achieve natural, yet still flawless results.

The Define Clinic Facial Aesthetics team has been selected by Dr Benji Dhillon and have extensive experience and knowledge in a range of injectable treatments, including dermal fillers. Dr Benji Dhillon was the Medical Director for Allergan and helped lead numerous clinical studies into Hyaluronic Acid dermal fillers. As a result, he has an intimate knowledge of how they work and should be best used. Our goal is to create subtle, natural results that make the most of your natural features to create the very best version of you.

Frequently asked questions

Dermal filler treatments involve minimal pain, and you may return to your daily activities immediately post-treatment. However, strenuous activities, such as exercise, or the application of makeup should be avoided for at least 12 hours after treatment. There is a small risk of bruising which if it occurs can only last a few days.
As dermal fillers can be used to treat such a wide range of conditions, there is no “one size fits all” guide on what to expect during the procedure. During your consultation Dr Dhillon will conduct a unique assessment of your face using the highest grade of medical photography to ensure you receive a bespoke treatment plan that will fully prepare you for the procedure, dependant on your individual needs. At Define Clinic, we also understand that you may be anxious, therefore we are there to answer all questions and offer options to reduce your anxiety.
At Define Clinic, we aim to create naturally beautiful results using our patient’s unique structure for guidance. As such, although the effects of fillers are immediate, your friends and family should simply notice that you look well and refreshed without looking overdone or unnatural.
You will be fully advised during your consultation on aftercare methods for dermal filler procedures, which will include avoiding the use of anti-inflammatory painkillers to avoid the risk of increased bruising and refraining from exercise for 12 hours. You should also avoid wearing makeup for 12 hours post-treatment and avoid extreme temperatures, such as saunas, steam rooms, or sun exposure.
The price will depend on the area being treated and the amount of product used. This will be made fully clear to you and discussed in detail during your initial, bespoke consultation with Dr Dhillon.
Dermal fillers can last between 6 and 24 months, depending on the area treated and how quickly each patient’s body breaks down the HA solution. Patients will need a ‘tweak’ very so often to maintain results.
