Eight dermatology treatments, each with a page that covers it properly. All of them start the same way: a doctor looks at the thing first.
Mole Removal
Removal of moles and skin lesions by a doctor, after the mole has been examined rather than before. Some are removed on the day, some are sent for histology, and some are left alone.
Lumps & Bumps, Cysts & Skin Tag Removal
Removal of cysts, skin tags and benign lumps, once they’ve been examined and confirmed as benign. Local anaesthetic, and usually one appointment.
Warts & Verrucae
Treatment for stubborn warts and verrucae that haven’t responded to anything you can buy over the counter. Usually a short course rather than a single visit.
Birthmark Removal
Laser treatment for pigmented and vascular birthmarks is assessed first. Not every birthmark responds, and not every one should be treated.
Pigmentation Removal
Treatment for sun damage, melasma and the marks left behind after inflammation, matched to the type of pigmentation rather than to the device. Some pigmentation worsens with the wrong laser, which is exactly why it is assessed first.
Acne Scar Treatment
Resurfacing and needling for the indented, textured scarring that acne leaves behind. A course works on the scar rather than on active acne.
Facial Thread Veins
Treatment for the fine broken capillaries around the nose and cheeks. Usually, it’s a short course, and they can come back.
Leg Thread Veins
Treatment for the fine surface veins on the legs, once a larger underlying vein problem has been ruled out. Not every leg vein is a surface problem.
Why Choose Define Clinic for Dermatology
Examined before it’s treated. A doctor examines every mole, lump, and patch before anything is removed. The examination is the part that matters.
Diagnosis before device. A mole, a cyst and a patch of pigment can look alike and behave nothing alike. Getting that right is the only thing here that can’t be undone later.
Histology where it’s needed. Every mole is examined before it’s touched, and the examination decides the method. Anything that isn’t clearly benign gets excised and sent to a lab rather than lasered, because laser takes the mole and the evidence with it.
You’ll know what it was. You leave with an explanation of what the thing actually was, not just a dressing over where it used to be.

Dermatology Before and Afters
Mole Removal
No. You can book a skin assessment directly. If something turns out to need a formal NHS pathway, you'll be told that at the appointment rather than treated around it.
Not without examining it first. Cosmetic removal is possible for moles confirmed as benign; the examination is what confirms that. A mole that looks wrong gets a different conversation and a different appointment.
Change is the thing to watch. Size, shape, colour, an uneven edge, bleeding, itching, or a mole that simply doesn't look like your others. If something has changed, get it looked at rather than photographed and forgotten.
Any removal leaves a mark. How much depends on the lesion, the method and where it sits on you, and you'll hear what to expect before anything is done rather than after.

I cannot recommend Dr Elina Kovalenko enough!!
