Define Medical is committed to making its services as accessible and inclusive as possible. We welcome patients with disabilities, additional needs and communication requirements, and encourage patients to contact us before their appointment so that reasonable adjustments can be discussed and arranged where possible.
Beaconsfield Clinic
The Beaconsfield Clinic provides wheelchair access to the ground floor. Please note that upper floors are accessed by stairs only and there is no lift. Please let us know in advance if you require a ground-floor appointment so that we can make appropriate arrangements where possible.
A hearing loop is available at the Beaconsfield Clinic. Patients are encouraged to contact the team before their appointment if they require support with access, communication or any other reasonable adjustment.
Fitzrovia Clinic
The Fitzrovia Clinic is located on one level at ground-floor level and has accessible toilet facilities.
Patients are encouraged to contact the team before their appointment if they require support with access, communication or any other reasonable adjustment.
Support available at both clinics
At both locations:
- Guide dogs and assistance dogs are welcome.
- Patients with visual impairment can request an escorted tour of the public areas before an appointment, to become familiar with the clinic layout.
- Patients may bring a family member, friend, interpreter or other support person to an appointment, subject to confidentiality and clinical considerations.
- Chaperones can be requested; please see our Chaperone Policy for further information.
- Where needed, the team will consider reasonable adjustments to support communication, mobility, sensory or other access needs.
- Translation or interpretation support may be arranged where reasonably practicable; please contact the clinic in advance to discuss your requirements.
Appointments and continuity of care
Where clinically appropriate, some consultations may be offered remotely. If the clinic is temporarily unable to provide a service, patients will be supported with information about suitable alternative arrangements or local services where possible.
